BRIAN CAESAR
Born and raised in Georgetown, Guyana. It all started in Mr. Thom’s backyard, where I first watched my neighbour transform blank canvases into vibrant worlds. That quiet inspiration stayed with me. Now, I am a self-taught landscape artist with nearly 30 years of experience, blending my love for colour, atmosphere, and nature into each piece.
Though I painted for personal fulfilment for many years, the past five have marked a renewed and focused commitment to my craft. I have continued learning by studying contemporary artists like Richard Robinson, Phil Starke, Dianne Mize, and Samuel Earp. Each has helped shape the way I see and create. My work spans original compositions and studies, all rooted in the desire to evoke emotion and a strong sense of place.
I work primarily in acrylics, painting from my garden in London and drawing on memories from both here and back home in Guyana. For me, painting is not just a creative outlet. It is a space of peace, learning, and self-expression.
